Posted on 08th November 2023
We wanted to share some very important news with you all from Justine at Grow to Give regarding the final weigh in for Aston Clinton Parish Council donations to The Aylesbury Vineyard Storehouse food bank for 2023.
As you may be aware we have had a donation box set up in our allotments by the allotment shed from June 2023 until the end of October 2023 for tenants to donate any excess vegetables to their local foodbank. We are very thankful to everyone that donated this year and to our lovely allotment champions Marion, Matt and Alex who have been amazing and set up a weekly rota to kindly bring your donations to Aylesbury Vineyard this year. If you are interested in becoming a champion and would like to find out more please email the allotment administrator admin@astonclinton.org
Please see below message from Justine at Grow to Give and invite to their end of season event at The Vineyard Storehouse and how Tenants can RSVP. Thank you all so much and well done for smashing last years weigh in for our donations!
Message from Justine
Thanks to all of you who’ve supported Grow to Give in 2023 from Aston Clinton Allotments, we’re yet again astounded by your kindness! The full total for Aston Clinton isn’t in yet but is well over 250kgs which is fantastic! This is up from 200kgs last year
We'd also like to invite you to a small end of season event at The Vineyard Storehouse on Monday 20th November from midday until 1pm.
This will give us a chance to say thank you in person and to give more insight on how your generous donations get distributed and how The Food Bank works to support people going through difficult times with its one stop shop approach.
Adam Townsend, The Vineyard Storehouse Manager, will give us a short tour and explain the fantastic work they do.
If you’d like to attend please RSVP by the 16th November by email at growtogive@icloud.com

Posted 11th September 2024
We are excited to announce the installation of a new noticeboard at the allotments, conveniently located on the front of the allotment shed. This noticeboard will serve as a hub for keeping you updated with the latest allotment news from the Council and provides a space for tenants to share information about social events, available equipment, or any other topics of interest to our community. Please remember to post respectfully, as any inappropriate content will be removed. Additionally, note that the noticeboard opens from the bottom upwards, please watch your head when accessing it and close it carefully afterward. We hope this new addition helps create a more connected and vibrant community!
To showcase the history of our allotments we have created a historic gallery below. If any tenants would like to share photos with the office of special moments or their plants or gardens or of allotment social gatherings, please feel free to contact the office so we can continue celebrating the wonderful work happening in our Allotment Community.
Please see some historical photos of the Allotments.
