🌻 Scarecrow Festival – What a Fantastic Weekend!

What a brilliant weekend we had at our second Scarecrow Festival! The village was filled with smiles, laughter, and some truly amazing creations. It was wonderful to see so many people joining in, visiting the displays, and celebrating our community spirit together.

We had an incredible 21 scarecrows this year each one unique, imaginative, and full of character. Every group really went the extra mile, and it showed!

🏆 Our Wonderful Winners

The judges had such a tough job choosing between all the fantastic entries, but here are the results:

• 🥇 1st Prize (for the second year running): Barnowls Nursery – Incey Wincey Spider
• 🥈 2nd Prize: Your Café in the Park – Woody & Forky from Toy Story
• 🥉 3rd Prize: Aston Clinton Society – The Wildflower Lady

(ACPC’s entry, a dog walker and two adorable dogs was just for fun, giving other groups the chance to move up in the rankings!)

Our winners received Amazon vouchers worth £50, £30, and £20, but the real prize was seeing so much creativity and joy across the village.

💚 Giving Back Together

As always, our festival is about more than just fun it’s also about community kindness.
Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we collected:

• 224.93 kg of food donations
• £114.41 in cash donations

All of which went directly to the Aylesbury Foodbank. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed your support makes a real difference.

Finally, a massive thank you to all the councillors, volunteers, and community members who helped with planning, building, and running the event. You made the weekend truly special and we can’t wait to do it all again next year!
